Last updated: [DATE]. We act on credible copyright complaints quickly, and we give the accused author a fair chance to respond.
Our position
We are an intermediary hosting content uploaded by independent authors. We do not pre-vet every item for infringement, but we act on notice. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
Reporting infringement
Send a notice to [COPYRIGHT EMAIL], or use the Report this item link on the listing. To be actionable, a notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed — with a link or a copy where possible.
- The URL of the item on this marketplace that you say infringes it.
- Enough detail for us to understand how it infringes. "It looks similar" is not enough; point to what was copied.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do with it
- We acknowledge within [ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TIME] working days.
- Where the claim is credible, we remove the item from sale while we look at it. Removal from sale is not a finding against the author.
- We send the notice to the author and invite a response.
- If the author does not respond within [RESPONSE WINDOW] working days, or the claim is upheld, the item stays down. Buyers who already purchased it are refunded where appropriate.
Counter-notice
If you are an author and your item was removed in error, send a counter-notice to [COPYRIGHT EMAIL] containing:
- Identification of the removed item and where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Evidence of your authorship — repository history, design files, drafts, or the original commissioning agreement.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at [CITY], India.
- Your signature.
We forward it to the complainant. If they do not commence proceedings within [COUNTER-NOTICE WINDOW] working days, we may restore the item.
Abuse of this process
Filing a knowingly false notice — to remove a competitor, for instance — is itself unlawful and we will treat it as a serious breach, including closing the account of anyone who does it repeatedly.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that accumulate [NUMBER] upheld claims are closed, and earnings held are applied to refunds and any claims outstanding.
Trademarks and other rights
Use the same address for trademark, design and passing-off complaints, with the equivalent detail: what right you hold, its registration if any, and how the listing infringes it.
